Background:
C-erb B2 oncogene codes for a membrane
protein, Neu protein. In several studies the
amplification of C-erb B2 oncogene in
carcinomas has been reported. Overexpression
of the Neu oncogene protein can be
demonstrated by this antibody.
Specificity:
In immunoblotting the antibody reacts with a 185
kDa protein.
Positive control: Adenocarcinoma of the breast
Species Reactivity:
Human, others not tested.
Ig Isotype: Murine IgG1
Antigen Localization:
Tumor cell membranes.
Immunogen:
Synthetic peptide corresponding to a site on the
internal domain of the C-erb B2 oncoprotein.
Format:
1 ml cell culture supernatant with 0.1% sodium
azide.
Storage and Stability:
Stable for 2 months when stored at 4°C. Stable
for 1 year when stored at -20°C.
Applications and Suggested Dilutions:

Immunohistology: Frozen (fixation: acetone
10 min RT), paraffin sections (fixation:
formalin).

Immunoblotting: recommend working dilution
1:5-1:10. Dilution buffer 0.15 M PBS with 1%
BSA and 1% sodium azide.
The optimal dilution for a specific application
should be determined by the researcher.
