Preparation :

Produced in BALB/c mice using highly pure (>98%) recombinant human Leptin as the immunizing antigen. This IgG1K antibody was purified from cell culture by Protein A affinity chromatography.

Formulation :

A sterile filtered antibody solution was lyophilized from PBS.

Stability :

The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20oC. Frozen aliquots are stable for at least six weeks at 2-8oC or for at least six months at -20oC. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Reconstitution:

Centrifuge vial prior to opening. Reconstitute in sterile water to a concentration of 1.0 mg/ml.

Elisa 

In a sandwich ELISA (assuming 100μl/well), a concentration of 2.0-4.0 μg/ml of this antibody will detect recombinant human Leptin when used with PeproTech's biotinylated antigen affinity purified anti-human Leptin (500-P86Bt) as the detection antibody at a concentration of approximately 0.5-1.0 μg/ml.

Western Blot 

To detect hLeptin by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.20-0.40 μg/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant hLeptin is 2.0-4.0 ng/lane, under non-reducing conditions.
