This gene encodes the protein responsible for this enzymatic activity which uses S-adenosyl methionine as the methyl donor. This activity is important for biotransformation of many drugs and xenobiotic compounds. Subunit: Monomer. Subcellular Location: Cytoplasm. Tissue Specificity: Predominantly expressed in the liver.
